İbrahim Mehmet Tekin
33 years teaching geography in Üsküdar
- 🇹🇷 Üsküdar, Istanbul, Türkiye
- Üsküdar Primary School
- Since 2004
- English, Turkish
For 22 years I have been the geography teacher at Üsküdar Primary School. I teach first-year students and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I'm learning the guitar. Inside it, I learn every name in the first week.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about İbrahim
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
What gifts mean to İbrahim: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me geography in 2009 at Üsküdar Primary School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.
