Ibrahim Alabi
Oud player and teacher in Wudil
- 🇳🇬 Wudil, Kano, Nigeria
- Wudil Victory Quartet
- 1979 to 1994
- English
I play oud and accordion. I started in 1979 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 12 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I run most mornings.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Ibrahim
I wrote my first song when I was 18. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Ibrahim: I'd put a gift toward recording a small album.
