Ian M. Hughes
Coached cycling for 45 years in Newcastle
- 🇦🇺 Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia
- Phoenix Football Club
- Since 1981
- English, Spanish
I've coached cycling at Phoenix Football Club since 1981. Most of my players were between 12 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I make terrible puns.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.

What gifts mean to Ian: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
