Hüseyin Kaplan
Chess coach, Istanbul Swimming Club
- 🇹🇷 Istanbul, Istanbul, Türkiye

- English, Turkish
For 23 years I've run the chess program at Istanbul Swimming Club in Istanbul. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
More about Hüseyin
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Hüseyin: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
