For 23 years I ran the volleyball program at Hồ Chí Minh City Boxing Gym in Hồ Chí Minh City. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
