Humaira Aleena Hanif

Chemistry and music teacher, Lahore

🇵🇰 Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan
Lahore Girls' School
Since 1982
English, Urdu

I came to teaching late, after working as a postal worker, and 44 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. Over the years I've had 1,280 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Humaira

Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Humaira: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
