I work mostly in embroidery, sometimes mural painting. My first show was in 1988 at Sunrise Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I never rush a conversation. My studio is always a bit of a mess.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Hugo
I've had 12 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.

What gifts mean to Hugo: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
