I teach art and environmental science at Los Angeles Boys' School, Los Angeles. My door was open at lunch.
Over the years I've had 820 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Howard
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
