I taught special education at Hamburg Public School in Hamburg from 1981 to 2018. Most days I taught Year 9, and I never turned anyone away.
Over the years I had 1,550 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Horst
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
