Hong Kai Yao
Mentor in leadership and entrepreneurship
- 🇺🇸 Syracuse, New York, United States
- Syracuse Community Trust
- 1997 to 2006
- English, Mandarin
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 300 people through Syracuse Community Trust.
Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.
More about Hong
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to Hong: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.

You helped me get my first leadership job in 2014. I still have your notes. Greetings from Milan.
