Hong Bin Jin
Teacher at Birmingham Secondary School, loves economics
- 🇺🇸 Birmingham, Alabama, United States
- Birmingham Secondary School
- Since 1984
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as a mechanic, and 42 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 2,520 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Hong
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
What gifts mean to Hong: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
