I coached football at Pietermaritzburg Highland Community Club from 2013 to 2025. Most of my players were between 11 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I answered every email, even at midnight.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
What gifts mean to Hlengiwe: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

You coached me in 2014. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Kaduna.

A small gift is a big thank-you.
