For 34 years I have been the religious studies teacher at Pietermaritzburg Academy. I teach primary school children and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 1,770 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Hlengiwe
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the farm, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
