Hlengiwe F. Moodley
20 years teaching environmental science in Soweto
- 🇿🇦 Soweto, Gauteng, South Africa
- Since 2004
- English, Afrikaans, French
I teach environmental science and chemistry at Cedar Grove Girls' School, Soweto. I stay late on Thursdays for anyone who needs it.
Over the years I've had 1,210 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Hlengiwe
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Hlengiwe: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
