Hlengiwe A. Ngcobo
Keeper of the rare books
- 🇿🇦 Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa
- Redwood Reading Room
- Since 1990
- English, French
For 36 years I look after the shelves, the card catalog and the regulars at Redwood Reading Room.
I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk. A library should feel like a living room.
More about Hlengiwe
I still remember the favorites of every regular.

What gifts mean to Hlengiwe: I'd put a gift toward a reading corner at the nearby school.
