For 21 years I have been the history teacher at Addis Ababa Secondary School. I teach first-year students and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I sing in a choir. Inside it, I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Hiwot
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Hiwot: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
