Hiwot Almaz Hagos
35 years teaching physics in Addis Ababa
- 🇪🇹 Addis Ababa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
- Lotus Boys' School
- Since 2003
- English, Amharic
For 23 years I have been the physics teacher at Lotus Boys' School. I teach mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I'm learning the guitar. Inside it, I learn every name in the first week.
More about Hiwot
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Hiwot: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
