Hitomi Yamashita

Spanish teacher at Setagaya High School, Since 1978

For 48 years I have been the Spanish teacher at Setagaya High School. I teach the youngest children and a few brave older students who wanted extra help. I've coached the school's football team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.

More about Hitomi

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the old fort, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
