For 17 years I've run the hockey program at Crescent Boxing Gym in Sapporo. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
More about Hitomi
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Hitomi: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
