I taught geography at Sunrise Primary School in Setagaya from 1993 to 2018. Most days I taught Grade 8, and I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term. My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.

What gifts mean to Hina: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
