I've been a nurse for 21 years, most of them in elder care at St. Mary's Maternity Hospital in Setagaya. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
