Hillel Uri Carmi

36 years teaching physical education in Tel Aviv

  • 🇮🇱 Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv, Israel
  • Mount Pleasant Middle School
  • Since 1986
  • English, Hebrew
I came to teaching late, after working as a farmhand, and 40 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. I've run the gardening club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I bake for the whole street at New Year.

More about Hillel

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
