Hillel Navon
Master of upholstery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇮🇱 Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv, Israel
- Eastgate Workshop
- 2009 to 2024
- English
I've worked in upholstery from 2009 to 2024. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 900 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I always make time for a proper cup of tea.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Hillel: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
