I coached basketball at San Diego Boxing Gym from 2004 to 2014. Most of my players were between 9 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
