I coached athletics at Depok Community Club from 2004 to 2018. Most of my players were between 11 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Heru
If you played for me, you probably remember the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand.
What gifts mean to Heru: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
