Herman K. Torres
Tabla player and teacher in Lapu-Lapu
- 🇵🇭 Lapu-Lapu, Cebu, Philippines
- Lapu-Lapu Band
- 2014 to 2022
- English
I play tabla and folk music. I started in 2014 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 7 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Herman
I wrote my first song when I was 19. It was terrible and I still love it.

What gifts mean to Herman: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
