I spent ten years as a lecturer in civil engineering at Good Shepherd College in Makati. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I'm always reading two books at once.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
What gifts mean to Herman: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
