Henok Henok Alemu

Teacher at Mekelle Grammar School, loves English literature

  • 🇪🇹 Mekelle, Tigray, Ethiopia
  • Mekelle Grammar School
  • 1987 to 2020
  • English, Amharic
For 33 years I was the English literature teacher at Mekelle Grammar School. I taught Grade 8 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help. Outside the classroom I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays. Inside it, I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it. If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.

More about Henok

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Henok: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me English literature in 1990 at Mekelle Grammar School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard. Truly.
