Hendrik Nkosi
Helping people break into trades
- 🇿🇦 Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa
- Our Lady of Peace Community Trust
- Since 2007
- English, Afrikaans
For 19 years I've mentored people in trades and design. Mostly it's coffee, honest feedback and a lot of listening.
I don't give advice so much as ask questions until the answer shows up. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Hendrik
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to Hendrik: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
