For eight years I've run the athletics program at Johannesburg Boxing Gym in Johannesburg. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Hendrik
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
