I work mostly in illustration, sometimes ceramics. My first show was in 1998 at Old Cape Town Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by markets and street scenes. I fix old bicycles.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Hendrik
I've had 11 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
What gifts mean to Hendrik: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
