Hendrik B. Moodley

Self-taught ceramics artist

🇿🇦 Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa
Old Mount Pleasant Pottery
Since 2005
English, Afrikaans

I work mostly in ceramics, sometimes printmaking. My first show was in 2005 at Old Mount Pleasant Pottery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog. Most of my work is inspired by faces I pass in the street. I'm always reading two books at once.

More about Hendrik

If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.

Mediums

Ceramics Printmaking

What gifts mean to Hendrik: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
