Heloísa Natália Correia
Youth chess coach and mentor
- 🇧🇷 Guarulhos, São Paulo, Brazil
- Since 1981
- English, Portuguese
For 45 years I've run the chess program at Guarulhos Boxing Gym in Guarulhos. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I'm always reading two books at once.
More about Heloísa
If you played for me, you probably remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.
What gifts mean to Heloísa: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.

you taught us how to lose properly. Worth more than any trophy. Greetings from Rohini.

You coached me in 1987. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Bakersfield.
