For 13 years I was the statistics teacher at Dar es Salaam Primary School. I taught Grade 4 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I had 300 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Hellen
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
