I've been a nurse for eight years, most of them in pediatrics at Braunschweig General Hospital in Braunschweig. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I garden badly but happily.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
