Heinz Noah Koch
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇩🇪 Braunschweig, Lower Saxony, Germany
- The Highland Workshop
- 1990 to 2006
- German
My trade is thatching. I opened my own shop in 1990 in Braunschweig and I'm still there most mornings.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 24 years later for another job.
More about Heinz
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Heinz: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.

You fixed our roof in 2000 and charged half what others asked. Greetings from Rohini.
