Heike Simon

Helping people break into first-generation students

  • 🇩🇪 Leipzig, Saxony, Germany
  • Heritage Mentoring Circle
  • 1988 to 2025
  • German
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 1,550 people through Heritage Mentoring Circle. I don't give advice so much as ask questions until the answer shows up. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays. I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

More about Heike

Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
