Héctor T. Ibarra
Geography and physical education teacher, Medellín
- 🇨🇴 Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia
- Unity Academy
- Since 2004
- Spanish
For 22 years I have been the geography teacher at Unity Academy. I teach first-year students and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Héctor
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the mountains, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

You taught me geography in 2021 at Unity Academy. I still remember the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand
