Héctor N. Ruiz
Retired environmental science teacher from León Grammar School
- 🇲🇽 León, Guanajuato, Mexico
- 1983 to 2009
- English, Spanish
I taught environmental science at León Grammar School in León from 1983 to 2009. Most days I taught mixed-ability classes, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I had 490 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Héctor
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Héctor: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
