I've been a nurse for nine years, most of them in palliative care at Kilimanjaro Children's Hospital in Bowling Green. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
