Hayato Yamashita

19 years teaching linguistics at Sakura University

  • 🇯🇵 Osaka, Osaka, Japan
  • Sakura University
  • 1992 to 2011
  • Japanese
I spent 19 years as a lecturer in linguistics at Sakura University in Osaka. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term. It sounds small, but students remember small things. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Hayato

I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.

Fields

Linguistics
What gifts mean to Hayato: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
