I taught English literature at Lincoln Primary School in Heliopolis from 1988 to 2007. Most days I taught Year 7, and I never once raised my voice.
I ran the reading group after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
