Hatem Hassan Yassin
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇪🇬 Shubra, Cairo, Egypt
- The Shubra Workshop
- Since 2010
- English, Arabic
I'm a thatching specialist. If you live around Shubra, there's a good chance I've worked in a building near you.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 17 years later for another job.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Hatem
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Hatem: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
