Harish A. Rathnam
First-generation students mentor, Surat
- 🇮🇳 Surat, Gujarat, India
- Surat Mentoring Circle
- Since 1992
- English, Telugu
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 1,730 people through Surat Mentoring Circle.
I don't give advice so much as ask questions until the answer shows up. I garden badly but happily.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Harish
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to Harish: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
