Haris Heru Suharto
Biology and French teacher, Ubud
- 🇮🇩 Ubud, Bali, Indonesia
- Redwood Primary School
- 2000 to 2021
- English, Indonesian, French
I taught biology at Redwood Primary School in Ubud from 2000 to 2021. Most days I taught Year 9, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I coached the school's volleyball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Haris
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Haris: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
