I taught agriculture at Hồ Chí Minh City Middle School in Hồ Chí Minh City from 1980 to 2003. Most days I taught teenagers, and I never once raised my voice.
I coached the school's football team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Hạnh
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
