I taught physical education and art at Los Angeles Academy, Los Angeles. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I ran the science fair after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

What gifts mean to Hang: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
