I taught computer science at Nairobi Grammar School in Nairobi from 1991 to 2003. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I never turned anyone away.
Outside the classroom I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. Inside it, I never turned anyone away.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Halima
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Halima: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
