Halima Margaret Macharia
Painter, potter and teacher at Oakwood Art Collective
- 🇰🇪 Kikuyu, Kiambu, Kenya
- Oakwood Art Collective
- Since 1986
- English
I work mostly in calligraphy, sometimes jewelry. My first show was in 1986 at Oakwood Art Collective, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I take the work seriously, though not myself. My studio is always a bit of a mess.
What gifts mean to Halima: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
