Halima Jumoke Yusuf

Youth rugby coach and mentor

  • 🇳🇬 Kano, Kano, Nigeria
  • Kano Sports Club
  • Since 1998
  • English
I've coached rugby at Kano Sports Club since 1998. Most of my players were between 8 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. My door was open at lunch. If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.

More about Halima

Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Halima: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
